Application form for 2018 intake – Why choose us?

Sunny Brow is situated in a building of significant local historical importance, surrounded by secure grounds which include wide and pleasant lawns, mature trees and shrubs – a stimulating setting for ‘out of doors’ activities which our children are free to access.

Feedback from existing and past parents has always been very positive. Over the years there have been countless examples of families where each generation has attended our nursery.

We offer the Government’s EYFS curriculum to two classes of children aged 3-4 years, to 16 rising 3’s in Playgroup and 8 children aged 3-30 months in our Tots’ group. The 3-4 year old sessions are funded with the Government grant.  All other sessions are funded by parents.   We excel in outdoor learning (holding a national award) and we are particularly supportive of children with speech and language delays and disorders. We hold an ICan Level 2 accreditation, which recognises our enhanced provision.

We have an innovative approach to learning – which relies on developing your child’s self esteem, independence and confidence. Our Forest School was amongst the first in the North West and we train other practitioners – who recognise and admire our outstanding provision. Nursery schools are shown to produce the best results amongst all early years settings – you may wish to read about the EPPE project – follow the link on this website.
